Car Scratch Repair in Mernda

Mernda's at the top of the train line, surrounded by new estates off Bridge Inn Road — about twenty minutes from me across the top of the corridor. It's a regular run; the area's full of fresh driveways and tight new-build garages.

Most recently I was out in Mernda for Paul, whose Lexus LS460 had a rear spoiler where the clear coat had lifted and peeled and the colour had faded right out. It's finished in Glacier Frost Mica (code 074) — a tricoat pearl, which is one of the trickier colours to match because it's a base coat, a pearl mid-coat and then clear, all built up in layers. I masked the whole boot off and sheeted the car down so there'd be no overspray anywhere, then laid the colour, blended the pearl and cleared it back to factory. Came up looking brand new — Paul left a 5-star review the same day, which I appreciated.

Another Mernda repair was a dented rear quarter panel — the kind of knock you get reversing in a tight new driveway. I worked the panel back into shape, filled and levelled it, then colour-matched and blended the paint so the line disappeared. No panel shop, no car off the road for a week.
